Luggage

To ensure the safety of our operations and the comfort of all passengers, certain rules must be followed regarding your luggage. Each passenger is allowed a maximum allowance of 32 kg, to be divided between checked baggage and carry-on baggage, depending on the fare selected. This allowance is clearly indicated on your ticket or flight confirmation.

Due to weight restrictions for flights to St Barthélemy and depending on the total weight of the aircraft, some luggage may be unloaded and re-routed on the first available flight. For any essential personal items, please inform ground staff at check-in.

Carry-on / Cabin Luggage

Our fare policy includes a carry-on/cabin luggage allowance with a total weight of 12 kg / 26 lbs for each adult or child over 2 years old.

As a carry-on:

We recommend choosing soft bags that you can store under your seat, with maximum dimensions of 40x30x15 cm (16x12x6 in).

As cabin luggage:

The maximum dimensions must be 55x35x25 cm (22x14x10 in). Cabin luggage will be transported with checked baggage, in the aircraft hold.

Checked Baggage

Checked baggage will be secured in the baggage hold, located at the rear of the cabin, and may measure up to 158 cm / 62 in, adding length, width and height; and must not exceed 32 kg / 70 lb (20 kg if your hand luggage/cabin baggage weighs 12 kg).

Special Baggage

Special baggage is accepted subject to the aircraft’s specifications, available capacity, security requirements, weight and balance limitations, and these General Conditions of Carriage.

The following, among others, are considered special baggage, though this list is not exhaustive:

Due to the technical specifications of the aircraft operated by the Company, no special baggage will be accepted if its length exceeds 130 cm, with a maximum of 158 cm / 62 in (L+W+H)

Acceptance of special baggage is subject to the availability of cargo space, its dimensions, weight, packaging, and compatibility with the aircraft’s operational constraints. The Company may refuse to transport any special baggage that does not meet these requirements.

Special baggage must be presented in packaging or a cover that provides adequate protection during handling and transport. If the Company determines that a piece of baggage is particularly fragile, it may ask the passenger to sign a form accepting the conditions of carriage for fragile items.

Equipment containing lithium batteries, gas cartridges, pressurized cylinders, or any other hazardous material is subject to the regulations governing the air transport of dangerous goods (ICAO Technical Instructions and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations). The transport of such items may be restricted, subject to prior authorization, or refused.

The signing of any form relating to the transport of special baggage does not constitute a waiver of the passenger’s rights under the 1999 Montreal Convention or any applicable mandatory legal provisions. The Company’s liability remains governed by these texts as well as by these General Conditions of Carriage.

All special baggage must be declared at the time of booking or, at the latest, 48 hours before departure. Its carriage is not final until expressly confirmed by the Airline and is subject to the aircraft’s capacity. If not declared in advance, the Airline does not guarantee acceptance on the day of departure and may refuse to transport it if operational or safety constraints so require.

Special baggage may only be reserved when purchasing a ticket that includes a baggage allowance of at least 32 kg.

Beyond this weight, and for safety reasons related to the weight that our ground crews can handle, the baggage unfortunately cannot be loaded onto the aircraft.

The total number and weight of checked baggage allowed must comply with the baggage allowance included in your fare.

Oversized, overweight or additional baggage cannot be purchased in advance. It can only be purchased on the day of departure, at check-in, depending on the aircraft's load factor.

The baggage allowance for children under 2 years old includes the transport of either a foldable stroller (umbrella stroller) or a car seat in the hold, as well as a diaper bag with a maximum weight of 12kg / 26lbs.

If you need to travel with more than 32 kg / 70 lb, please contact our experts at laligne@stbarthexecutive.com, who will be able to advise you on the best options available.

RUSH Baggage (delayed baggage)

In accordance with Article 19 of the Montreal Convention, in the event of a baggage delay, the airline is not legally required to ensure the delivery of RUSH baggage to the passenger's home.

Home delivery is an optional commercial service, generally offered to minimize the inconvenience to the passenger, especially when the baggage is delayed for more than 24 hours.

Important exception:
For all baggage from Saint-Barthélemy (SBH) or Marie-Galante (GBJ), home delivery is not possible, even for delays exceeding 24 hours, as these airports are not equipped with screening systems.
In this case, the passenger is required to collect their baggage in person, in accordance with current regulatory requirements.

Dangerous Goods

For your safety, certain items are prohibited or strictly regulated on board our aircraft. See the notice below for full details.
