Pets
Traveling with a pet is permitted on our Air Inter Iles flights when:
- The service is properly booked as a special service.
- The animal is transported in an IATA-compliant bag or cage.
- The passenger must have all required documents for the pet with them. The pet must have all its vaccinations up to date.
Info: Pets under 7kg, including their carrier bag, are allowed on board free of charge, but must have a reservation.
For pets over 7kg and up to a maximum of 12kg, including their carrier, they are also permitted for passengers with a checked baggage allowance (Inter Iles Flex fares). They must be placed in an IATA-compliant crate with maximum dimensions of L71xW52xH55 cm, and the total weight of the crate and the animal must not exceed 12kg / 26lb.
Important Your pet is considered part of your baggage allowance, so the total weight of the passenger's luggage, the pet, and its bag/crate must not exceed the checked baggage allowance.
Please inquire about the current regulations for each country of origin, destination, and any connecting country (vaccinations, quarantine, etc.), as Air Inter Iles by St Barth Executive disclaims all liability for any expenses incurred (rebooking fees, hotel stays, kennel fees, etc.) if:
- Your pet is denied boarding due to failure to comply with our transport conditions.
- Your pet is refused entry upon arrival due to failure to comply with the regulations in your destination country.
If you need more information about pet travel, you can visit the IATA pet travel website.
ESAN (Emotional Support Animal)
An Emotional Support Animal (ESAN) is an animal recognized for its therapeutic benefit to individuals suffering from psychological disorders, such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
To travel with an ESAN, the following conditions must be strictly met:
Animal's Weight:
The animal must not exceed 7 kg (total weight including the animal and its carrier).
If the animal exceeds 7 kg, it must not exceed 12 kg. In this case, the animal must travel in an IATA-compliant crate.
A seat at the rear of the aircraft will then be reserved for the owner to maintain proximity to the animal.
Required Documents:
The passenger must have all necessary documents for the animal, including:
- A certificate of good health.
- An up-to-date vaccination record.
- A registered microchip.
Medical Certificate:
- A valid medical certificate, less than one year old, is required. This certificate must state that the passenger needs the animal for emotional support due to a mental health condition.
- This certificate must be issued exclusively by a psychiatrist.
Passenger's Responsibility:
- The passenger is responsible for ensuring that all documents are available and compliant before the trip. If documents are missing or non-compliant, boarding with the ESAN may be denied.
These conditions are intended to ensure the well-being of all passengers and the safety of the animals.
The animal is not permitted to eat or drink during the flight. The passenger is fully responsible for any cleaning or damage caused by the animal on board.
A muzzle should be available in case the dog shows signs of nervousness during the journey that could inconvenience or threaten other passengers and staff.
